Daily Fantasy Golf Picks Preview |  Wyndham Championship PGA 2017

Can you believe how shitty the field is this week for the Wyndham? The biggest name on the board is Henrik Stenson and he’s playing terrible golf this year. It’s the last event of the year to qualify for the Fed Ex Playoffs, so all your favorites will be out to make it in.

Lets get to the course. Sedgefield is a 7127 yard, Par 70. Not a long course at all. This course has many uphill and downhill holes, so yardages are deceiving. Also, you don’t have to be the most accurate driver to play well at this course and that’s because of the length. 9 of the 18 holes will probably only require a wedge into the greens, and it’s easier to hit short irons from the rough with some accuracy than with the long irons. This is a very tee to green type course. The average rate in which players hit these small greens are off the charts, at 73% GIR since 2008. That’s pretty high to be the average. So besides short iron GIR from on and off the fairway, we’ll also look for proximity play with the short irons as well. Why? These greens are undulating and and the shorter putts you have on these types of greens, the better.

Since 2008, which golfers in this field have played well here? David Toms, Carl Pettersson, Brandt Snedeker, Justin Leonard, Bill Haas, Charles Howell 3, Webb Simpson, Camilo Villegas, Ryan Moore, Martin Laird, Matt Every. What’s the common trait? More than a few times, these guys have been Top 60 in Strokes Gained Tee To Green since 2008.

So to recap: We’re looking for Tee to Green Players, with strong Proximity play, those that can hit short irons from the fairway and the rough. As always, we love great putters, and if you can scramble a little, we’ll take that too. Last but not least, look for history and we’d like our players to have some form.

That’s it of the preview. We hope you enjoyed your time.
