Daily Fantasy Golf Picks Preview | PGA Championship 2018

It’s the last major of the year and the season really feels like it’s flown right by. Where has the time gone? I really have no idea but I’m still alive and that’s what really counts. We’re back at Bellerive Golf Club which hasn’t been used for the PGA Championship since 1992 when Nick Price won. However, it was also used for the 2008 BMW Championship when Camilio Villegas raised that trophy high into the air. Now let’s get to the nitty gritty of the course.

The Bellerive Golf Course is a Par 70, 7316 yard test of golf, whereas in 2008, this course played as a 6959 yard, Par 71, and in 1992, as a 7148 yard, Par 71. So yes, there are length differences but we still expect the course to play the same. It’s a treelined course that puts a premium on finding the fairway. According to Justin Thomas, you need to hit your spots on the fairway because even though the greens are large, you need to be in the right spots. The reason for that is because the greens have many different complexes and if you have 50 foot putts,,three putts will be the norm. Also, you don’t want to be in these green side bunkers because they’re big and deep. The balls may go in and roll back, giving you longer than normal bunker shots which will then be a tricky par for most players.

So putting yourself in the best position off the tee is the route all the golfers will be focusing on this week and so will we. Strokes Gained Off The Tee will be our first focus, followed by Ball Striking and Strokes Gained Tee To Green, and we’ll also be looking at sand saves because saving par from the sand will be key this week. As always, we love form, and putting always comes in handy too.

Good Luck this week!
