Daily Fantasy Golf Picks Preview | Dell Technologies PGA 2017 | Fedex Cup

Bring on the Dell Technologies 2017!!! Dude, You’re getting a DELL!!!! Bring it right now. We’re coming off a very strong first week of the Fedex Cup and hopefully we’ll keep this thing going a little more.

The TPC Boston is a Par 71, 7214 test of golf……… or lack there of. What?! Yes. The winning score here is volatile, but for the most part, you’re going to need tons of birdies. So if you’re picking golfers that don’t make tons of birdies, have a nice time in Loserville, Population You. For the most part, in the history of this tournament, the winners have been ‘A’ List Golfers. Olin Browne was the biggest anomaly, followed by Charley Hoffman, then Chris Kirk. The last 2 are B list players but Charley Hoffman is moving up in the world these days so you never know. Everyone else has either won a Major or been Top 10 in the world at some point. So what are we looking for here? This course has 3 Par 5’s, two of them are super short and some players could have wedges into them for their 2nd shots. The 3rd Par 5 is 600 yards and can be reached by the really long bombers, which seems to be everyone these days. If you’re not scoring -8 on these holes over the 4 days, you’ve got a handicap to overcome. Par 5 Scoring is essential. The rest of the holes are a mixture of short and long Par 3’s and 4’s. Two of the Par 4’s are drivable. One at 360, the other at a paltry 298 yards. Over half your scoring should come on these 5 holes just mentioned. So what are the other ways to beat this course? Players can actually just play their game and succeed. The accurate guys will hit the fairway and greens in two. The long guys can miss the fairways and get away with it,  as they’ll have short irons into the greens. But is there anything that links them all? As whole, and there are a bunch of anomalies, but as a whole, Ballstriking and Strokes Gained Tee To Green. Sergio Garcia, Jason Dufner, Henrik Stenson, Jim Furyk, John Senden, Kevin Stadler Vijay Singh, Geoff Ogilvy, Amongst other big names.

This course is all about opportunity. The more birdie opportunities you have the better, and if you’re not having tons of birdie opps than you better be making all your putts. We’re talking about you Patrick Reed.

We’re going to be leaning on the hot hands this week, guys that will have lots of opportunities, and guys that have just been showing up all year.
